When we lived in Arizona a desert ...woohoo turtles! When we lived in Arizona a desert turtle was walking down the street in our neighborhood one day...just like he belonged there. He was huge and gorgeous. Some people stopped in their car and were trying to steer it on to the sidewalk and then my son and I having seen the turtle said we would try to knock doors and find the owner. It was surreal and the entire neighborhood adopted the turtle.
