Folks from both parties and independents were there. Our local reporter that I watch was fair and stated it wasn't just a Republican thing against Obama. I was pleased. That from an ABC affiliate.Karen Townsendhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12692791436106987353noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14598933.post-65462459025946362002009-04-15T21:43:00.000-06:002009-04-15T21:43:00.000-06:00Friends of ours who live in Brooklyn will never le...Friends of ours who live in Brooklyn will never let their guard down... she was close enough to see the horrible sight of people jumping out of windows to their death and her husband was supposed to be having breakfast with a friend in the WTC that morning but had canceled due to another appointment.

The idea that we no longer consider these radical jihadists as terrorists is absolutely unbelievable. So many of the perceptions of our federal government are so far from reality, it is frightening.

Now... what can we do to take out these media idiots on CNBC who were so hateful, disrespectful and vulgar about people who peacefully protested and discussed their political views today? No violence from the crowds, just frustration. I know we had a good turn out here, the traffic going towards Town Center was the worst I have seen.srphttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11751987787364198318noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14598933.post-12712506632857266232009-04-15T17:01:00.000-06:002009-04-15T17:01:00.000-06:00Mustang:

My biggest disappointment is the lack of concern of future attacks - a la 9/10/01 - that now seems to permeate in this country. How quickly all is forgotten.

I have to say, 9/11/01 woke me up as never before. My husband was just landing in Hong Kong and my then 11 yr old son was on a bus to an outdoor camping adventure to the glorious country in central Texas. We were scattered and I was in complete shock.

Originally I thought Homeland Security was a mistake. Then I though it was useful. Now, I just don't know. I have little faith in government as an efficient entity. Janet Napolitano is a head in the sand woman. As the former gov of Arizona I just don't understand her lack of urgency on so many matters. And, my state of Texas could use some serious help on our border.

Semper FiKaren Townsendhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12692791436106987353noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14598933.post-24500615252833022022009-04-15T16:40:00.000-06:002009-04-15T16:40:00.000-06:00I want to share your view, Karen … but I do unders...I want to share your view, Karen … but I do understand that we cannot permit the government to isolated itself from reality, as it did on 10 September 2001. Honestly, I do not understand why Madeline Albrecht and Jamie Gorelick are not serving time in a federal prison for their criminal negligence before the attacks. DHS was intended to coordinate the various investigative agencies of government. It can do that with competent leadership. It does not have that leadership in Janet Napolitano—so yes, it is a disgrace right now. That’s Mr. Obama’s failure (another failure among many so far), and we should remember this in 2012. Meanwhile, we will have to keep a sharp eye on Napolitano’s Gestapo.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
