CODE RED

What is Code Red? From the web site: Project Code Red - About Us

With the House now the last line of defense to stop a government takeover of health care, Project Code Red is a multi-front effort to force Democrats to make a choice – either vote “NO” on this unpopular bill, or face the electoral consequences in November. Using various forms of traditional and direct media, Code Red will put pressure on these lawmakers to answer a simple question – will they support a job-killing government takeover of health care or will they stand with the American people who want Congress to scrap the bill and start over with reforms that will lower costs?

Here is where you can go to learn about Code Red:

The battle over the nationalization of our health care system is now firmly in the House of Representatives. This web site explains the devastating effects that will be felt by small business, in particular. It is a fact that small businesses are the engine of our economy. A government takeover of 1/6 of our national economy - without true reform - will force many small businesses out of the marketplace. Our national economic recession will continue to linger.

Let your elected officials know how you feel. They work for you. If they don't listen to the strong majority of voters who are firmly against this monstrosity of a bill, fire them in November.

What I see is a final trick.... pass the current Senate bill and THEN we will fix it with amendments. Does anyone in their right mind think for a minute that if Obama has a bill in hand, passed by the Senate and the House... well does anyone think he WON'T sign it into law AS IS? Does anyone really think he will keep his word and try to fix it with amendments? ARE YOU NUTS?

So, the taxes to pay for it will go up immediately and the cuts for medicare will go in immediately and the doctors will have to start refusing to take on Medicare patients.... right now.

But the benefits... those wonderful things such as no caps on benefits, no dropping of insurance for illness, no pre-existing conditions limiting access.... all that doesn't start for years. Exactly what sense does this make... oh, yes.. it is the only way they could maneuver the numbers to have it look better from the CBO.

Forget the reconciliation business... this bill, if passed by the house will be signed into law as is and won't even go back to the Senate for an up or down vote... once again Obama is trying to pull the wool over the eyes of the American people. And since he has Pelosi twisting arms and legs and fingers... the pit bull with a cockroach brain.... working overtime in the House... Obama might just win this one. Then we ALL lose.
