Rep Hastings Delivers GOP Weekly Address on Energy

"Actions speak louder than words. Republicans have carried through with their all of the above approach". - Rep Hastings, Chairman of House Natural Resources Committee.

Rep Hastings delivered the weekly GOP address on energy:

Republicans in the House continue to do the work that Democrats in the Senate and President Obama refuse to do to bring about energy independence and lower fuel prices. Americans are not happy with the steady rise in prices at the gas pump - as of Friday, we have experienced 24 consecutive price increases - and they report feeling pain in the family budget:

Two-Thirds Of Americans Say The Hike In Gas Prices Is Causing Them “Financial Hardship At Home.” “Amid a national spike in gas prices, two in three Americans say the hike in costs is causing them financial hardship at home, according to a CBS News poll released Wednesday.” (Lucy Madison, “Poll: Americans Hurting From Rising Gas Prices,” CBS News, 2/29/12)
“Sixty-Seven Percent Of Americans Say High Gas Prices Have Caused A Financial Hardship In Their Households; Of Those, 38 Percent Say That Hardship Is Serious.” (Lucy Madison, “Poll: Americans Hurting From Rising Gas Prices,” CBS News, 2/29/12)

And Eighty-Six Percent Of Americans Say They Expect Gas Prices To Increase. “Americans are not particularly optimistic about gas prices dropping anytime soon. Eighty-six percent say they expect prices to go up; only six percent anticipate that they will decrease, and five percent say they think the prices will stay the same going forward.” (Lucy Madison, “Poll: Americans Hurting From Rising Gas Prices,” CBS News, 2/29/12)

The summer driving season is just around the corner. Traditionally, prices rise due to increased demand. There is no light at the end of this tunnel. The all of the above approach, promised by President Obama, has failed to materialize.

President Obama has no energy independence plan. He has an ideological agenda.
