Baloney and Cheese

In a surprise twist, yesterday the lawyers came together in the Oscar Wyatt Oil for Food trial and Oscar pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud. He claims it is because he is 83 years old and doesn't want to waste any more time on this trial. Pesky thing that it is. The billionaire oil man with the international jet setting wife is doing a bit of spin control.

Oscar is full of baloney.

Oscar Wyatt is known as a junkyard dog style of businessman. He never accepts defeat, according to those doing business with him. He has even sued his brother in law over business dealings. To accept he just wants to 'get it over with' in this case seems quite a stretch to me. Looks like he is taking a page out of Sen. Craig's playbook and just admitting guilt to be finished with the legal issues.

OK, then.

Wyatt will be sentenced November 27. He faces between 18 to 22 months in jail and a fine of $11 million. I heard on the local news last night Oscar has been told he'll be able to report to serve his time at a later date so that he can have Christmas at home.

Looks like Santa came early this year.

He's turned Philanthropist, a gift to taxpayers, he doesn't want to cost them more money. Next, he'll volunteer to do his sentence at home so they don't have to feed him. What a man.
If he goes to jail, he'll be out in less than a year. If they're waiting till after Christmas, why send him at all? He'll miss some of the other holidays. He's probably more angry about the $11 Million.

Paul is a Hermit, that's great. You're inside his mind.

This guy is no better than Kofi's son or any of the other criminals at the United Nations. He needs to be punished for his crime, as they do. It's more likely HE will serve some time than it is any of those UN folks.

Thank you, Debbie. That is true, the U.N. answers to no one. Just their cozy, little club of thieves..
